Terms of Service

1. Who we are

DogWalker is a service of StanHattie LLC, an Iowa limited liability company (Business No. 752727), 731 SE Alices Rd PMB 1035, Waukee, IA 50263. We provide dog walking management software to walking businesses and a booking front-end to dog owners.

2. The service

We are a software platform. Walks are performed by independent walkers and walking businesses (Tenants). DogWalker is not a party to the walking-services agreement between you and a Tenant or walker. The Tenant or walker is responsible for the care of your dog during the walk.

3. Accounts

You must be 18 or older (or have parental consent if you are a Teen or Kid tier walker) to create an account. Sign in is passwordless via magic link or platform passkey. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Bookings & payment

Bookings are confirmed when payment authorization succeeds via Stripe. Funds are held by Stripe and routed to the Tenant via Stripe Connect destination charges, less the platform fee (default 12%, may vary by tenant plan). Receipts are emailed automatically.

5. Cancellation & refunds (default policy)

Cancel 24+ hours before the walk start time for a full refund. Within 24 hours: 50% refund. Within 2 hours: no refund. Tenants may set their own policies; the policy in force at booking time applies.

6. Data retention & account deletion

Active accounts retain data indefinitely. After 12 months of inactivity, accounts are archived; after 18 months, deleted. On account deletion, personal data is anonymized within 30 days. Transaction data is retained 7 years for tax purposes per IRS requirements. Audit logs are retained 2 years minimum.

7. Plan tiers (for tenants)

Solo tier is free for the first 30 walks per calendar month, then $19/month. Growth, Pro, and Multi-location are paid monthly subscriptions billed via Stripe. Downgrading does not delete data; some features may become unavailable. Refunds for unused subscription time are pro-rata. Account termination for breach: 30-day notice, all data exports honored.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use DogWalker to: harass walkers, owners, or our staff; misrepresent vaccination or temperament information; bring an aggressive or unvaccinated dog to a booked walk; circumvent the platform’s payment system; or scrape data via automated means. Breach may lead to account termination without refund.

10. Governing law

Iowa law governs these Terms. Disputes resolved in Polk County, Iowa.
